Transport information

Shuttle service will be provided for players between the tennis courts and the Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel several times a day.

Access to evening programs will be facilitated by one roundtrip shuttle service only from the Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel. Please note that the shuttle service is limited; therefore, we recommend using public transportation.

Please find the recommended public transportation options from Mercure Budapest Korona on Kálvin Square (Kálvin tér) below.

  • From “Kálvin tér” metro station, you can reach “Móricz Zsigmond körtér” metro station in 15 minutes by Metro Line 4 (green line), from which the Park Teniszklub (located at 1 Fadrusz Street) can be reached with a 5-minute easy walk.
  • Taking Metro Line 3 (blue line) from Kálvin Square, you can reach “Semmelweis Klinikák” metro station in 5 minutes, after which a two-minute easy walk will take you to the Basic Medical Science Center of Semmelweis University (Elméleti Orvostudományi Központ).
  • From Kálvin Square (Kálvin tér), Fővám Square (Fővám tér) can be reached with a 12-minute walk, by taking Metro Line 4 (one stop away), or with trams 47 and 49. From Fővám Square the vicinity of Kálvin Square (from “Fővám tér”), trams 2, 2B, and 23 will take you to Vigadó Square (Vigadó tér) in about 10 minutes. From there, you can reach both the Europe Ship and the Budapest Marriott Hotel with a short walk.
  • The Europe Ship and the Budapest Marriott Hotel can also be accessed with Metro Line 3 (blue line). After getting off at “Deák Ferenc tér” metro station, a 5-minute walk takes you to the ship or the hotel.

The Nations’ Evening and the Gala Dinner will be held in the city center, within walking distance from Mercure Budapest Korona and other downtown hotels. It is worth taking a walk along the Danube Bank on the Danube promenade which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering splendid views of numerous attractions of Budapest.
